A4 Exercise Books
Ruling is what schools specify and it narrows as handwriting develops, so a book bought a year out is the wrong tool rather than a close miss. Page count then follows the subject: a book that runs out mid-term means a second one and a split set of notes. A4 gives room for diagrams and pasted worksheets where smaller formats do not.
