Powershred P-25S: a Compact Strip-Cut Shredder for Occasional Home Use
For one person clearing the odd pile of paper at home, the P-25S is about as simple as a Fellowes shredder gets: a lift-off head on an 11 litre bin that shreds 5 sheets at a time.
It cuts 70 gsm A4 into 7 mm strips at security level P-1 (DIN 66399), the most basic level, so it suits envelopes, drafts and non-sensitive paper. The 220 mm entry takes A4 straight in. Give it 3 minutes of shredding at most before a 25 minute rest, and keep to the 20 sheets a day Fellowes recommend. Paper only: no staples, paper clips, credit cards or CDs.
A three-way switch gives Auto-On, Off and Reverse. Fellowes say the motor stops when the head is lifted from the bin, and give 1 year on the machine and 1 year on the cutters. Need more security or capacity? Look at the cross-cut models in Fellowes shredders and paper shredders, or the cross-cut shredders.
