The tag is trivial; the system is not. Colour code by building, floor or function and write the scheme down somewhere a new starter can read, because an undocumented palette becomes decoration within weeks. Cabinets should hold more hooks than keys so the system can grow. Label the board rather than only the tags. See key tags, key cabinets and key rings.
