Key Tags
Decide first whether a key keeps the same identity forever. Numbered tags pair with a cabinet board position and suit fleets, rooms and plant where the mapping is fixed. Writable tags suit anything reassigned, and disposable versions suit workshops handling customer vehicles. A tag system only works if the board and the register agree.
