Coloured Key Head Caps That Tell Look Alike Keys Apart
The Kevron AL1053 Key Head Caps Assorted Pack of 5 slips a coloured cap over the head of a key, so keys that look alike can be told apart by colour.
Kevron lists this blister as AL1053P5, 5 pieces in assorted colours, and the pack card names the material as rubber. ACCO Australia describes the caps as fitting around the whole head of the key and suits them to anyone with a collection of similar looking keys. The cap carries no writing, so the colour itself is the identifier.
Caps suit keys that live on a personal ring rather than a board, such as the front door and back door keys that share a blank. Fit a different colour to each and the right key comes out of the pocket first time.
Caps and tags work together: a cap marks the key, and a tag names it. For keys that need a written name as well as a colour, see ID5 key tags, or browse key accessories and spare key rings.
