Wider 18mm Bands For Early Writers
Splash Education SP4416 gives young writers 96 A4 pages with 18mm dotted thirds and a red margin, on 60gsm paper in a board cover, in packs of 10.
At 18mm between solid lines, each writing band is noticeably taller than the 14mm version, which leaves more room while letter formation is still being learned. Two dotted lines divide every band into three, as the inside photo of this code shows, so a child can see how high a small letter should sit and how far tall letters and tails should stretch. Schools set their own ruling, so match the spacing to the booklist.
The Note Group have refreshed the cover. Their current photo shows a yellow book with a navy panel listing 18mm Dotted Thirds, Red Margin, 60gsm Paper and the Splash code 4416; earlier stock carried an orange cover. Either way the inside is the same code, with a panel on the front for name, subject, year and school.
