Rexel Momentum X308 Cross Cut Shredder for a Home Office
Rexel's Momentum X308 is a compact manual feed shredder that ACCO Australia rate for one user, with a published capacity of up to 8 sheets of 80gsm paper in a single pass.
ACCO Australia publish a P-3 security level for it, a rating on the DIN 66399 scale, with 5x42mm particles and 200 cross cut pieces from one A4 sheet. That is a coarser cut than the X406, which ACCO Australia rate P-4 on the same DIN 66399 scale, and the X308 takes 8 sheets per pass where the X406 takes 6. Its 15 litre bin is rated at up to 100 A4 sheets.
Paper clips and staples can go through with the paper, since ACCO Australia list both under also shreds, within the limits Rexel's manual sets: staples of 26/6 and 24/6 or smaller, fixed within 25mm of the corner. The manual rules out credit cards, CDs and DVDs, and warns that 3 minutes of continuous running may overheat it.
For upkeep, Rexel's manual lists Rexel oil sheets, which we stock in shredder oils. Weigh the X308 against the other cross cut paper shredders we carry, or look for a larger bin across our paper shredders.
