A Large Project Book With Space To Draw And Write
Olympic 140842 is the P246 Bugs Project Book, a large 335 x 240mm stapled book of 64 pages that pairs 24mm dotted thirds ruling with plain sides, sold in packs of 20.
Hamelin Brands, the company that owns Olympic, list each page as ruled on one side and blank on the other. Their interior illustration shows a plain page facing a ruled page, and the cover sums it up as dotted thirds and plain pages. A young writer draws on the plain side and writes about the picture on the lined side next to it.
The ruling is 24mm dotted thirds: solid lines 24mm apart, each space split into thirds by two dotted guide lines. The guides help children place the body of a letter in the middle third and let tall and tail letters reach above and below. The magnified detail in the Hamelin artwork shows exactly this pattern.
The oversized format suits projects and creative work, which is what Hamelin recommend it for. The cover is a busy cartoon of bugs, snails and worms, with the P246 reference printed at the bottom.
More educational writing books are in range, along with jumbo pencils, coloured pencils and the rest of Olympic.
