Five Knives, Scissors and a Pine Block in One Set
The Connoisseur 7525010 set equips a kitchen in one purchase: a pine wood block holding a chef knife, a bread knife, a bone knife, a utility knife, a paring knife and a pair of kitchen scissors, seven pieces in all.
That spread covers the everyday jobs, from carving and slicing a loaf to trimming meat and peeling fruit, which makes it a good fit for a new staff kitchen, a serviced apartment fit-out or a holiday rental that needs a complete set rather than single knives.
Weatherdon give the blades as 3cr13 steel with PP handles. The block stands 280 mm tall and has non-slip rubber grips on the base to stop it sliding on the bench, and the Connoisseur logo is printed on its front.
For care, Weatherdon recommend hand washing to prolong the blades, though they say the knives can go in the dishwasher if required.
