The Brother DK-22225 is a genuine continuous paper label roll, 38mm x 30.48m of black on white direct thermal stock that the printer cuts to the exact length of each label you print.
The roll is 30.48m of 38mm stock, and the printer cuts each label to length, so one roll covers everything from short name tags to long folder runs. Direct thermal printing images the paper with heat, which means no ink, toner or ribbon - the roll is the only consumable there is.
Brother's series brochures list this width for the QL-800 and QL-820NWB. It does not appear on Brother's published list for the QL-1100, so for that machine choose a roll from its own supported list. The DK codes differ between QL series, and the list is the thing to trust.
