Print Over Wi-Fi, Or With No Computer At All
The Brother QL-820NWB is the connected model in the QL range: 176 mm per second or about 110 labels a minute, black and red printing, a backlit LCD, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and USB on one unit.
A 320 by 120 dot backlit LCD and the buttons on the front mean it prints stored label templates with no computer attached at all, which is what the price difference over the USB-only models buys. Print quality is 300 by 300 dpi with a 300 by 600 dpi high resolution mode.
Black and red needs the DK-22251 roll and slows to 24 mm per second, roughly 15 labels a minute. An optional Li-ion battery and base takes it off mains power for about 4,300 mono labels or 1,400 two colour labels per charge, recharging in under two and a half hours.
One AirPrint caveat: Brother states that iOS and macOS print black only through standard AirPrint, and red needs an app built on Brother's SDK. Brother publishes no part number for the optional battery. The DK rolls it takes, the wider QL-1100 and the full QL range are linked here.
