Brother QL-1100 Professional Wide Format Label Printer

Prints 101.6mm Wide, On Labels Up To Three Metres

The Brother QL-1100 is the wide format model in the QL range: it prints up to 101.6mm across on media up to 103.6mm wide, and a single label can run to three metres from P-touch Editor.

It runs at up to 110 mm per second, which Brother rates at 69 standard address labels a minute, at 300 by 300 dpi. Connection is USB 2.0 to a PC or Mac, and Brother publishes a USB host port that accepts HID class devices. Brother rates the automatic cutter at up to 300,000 die-cut labels or 150,000 continuous cuts.

The width is the point. Shipping and parcel labels, wide asset tags, archive box ends and warehouse shelf labels all stop fitting once you pass about 62mm, which is where the rest of the QL range tops out. DK-11240 and DK-11247 die-cut labels and the 102mm continuous DK-22243 cover most shipping and archive work.

The QL-1100 does not print in red. Brother restricts the black and red DK-22251 roll to the QL-800, QL-810W and the QL-820NWB. It is also USB only, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Ethernet. The wide DK rolls it takes and the rest of the QL range are linked here.
