Lecture Books

The ruling assumes a two-pass process: notes taken at speed in the body of the page, then reviewed and marked up in the margin afterwards. Buying a book without one means annotating between lines, which defeats it. Page count should cover a full semester, since changing books mid-subject splits the record. See subject books, notebooks and student stationery.
