Year 1 writing usually starts with a picture. In the open book photo from The Note Group the left page is left blank for drawing, pasting or a worksheet, and the facing page is ruled in blue and red lines for the sentence that goes with it.
Heavier 100gsm paper takes crayon, pencil and a glue stick better than lighter exercise book stock, which suits a project book. The Note Group give the size as 330 x 240mm and the cover as board.
