The Connoisseur 754218 slotted spoon is a 305 mm black utensil with a deep oval bowl cut with slots, for lifting peas, dumplings or poached eggs out of the pot while the water drains back in.
The slots run the length of the bowl, so cooking liquid falls away quickly as you lift. A long handle keeps your hand clear of steam over a stockpot, and the hole in the end lets it hang with the rest of the line's tools.
Weatherdon sell it as part of their black non-stick utensil group, alongside a solid spoon of the same length, a slotted turner and a masher. Keeping a slotted and a solid spoon side by side covers both draining and saucing at the pass.
