Six Chunky Noris Junior Pencils
Staedtler 141-2B is a box of 6 Noris junior pencils, the extra-large 2B graphite pencil Staedtler make for young children.
Each pencil is short and very thick, with a hexagonal barrel in the yellow-black Noris stripe and printed shapes along one face. The chunky shape, Staedtler say, suits small children's hands perfectly, and its super thick lead brings extra high break resistance.
Six is enough for a family with more than one little artist, or for a playgroup table where pencils go missing. The soft 2B lead gives a dark grey line with very little pressure, so scribbles, first shapes and tracing all show up clearly.
According to Staedtler the 141 is made in Germany and meets EN 71. A standard sharpener will not take this barrel: use the Noris junior tub sharpener 514 16. Single pencils are also sold on a hanging card (141-2B BK).
