Red Metallic For Festive Cards And Gift Tags
A Staedtler box of 10 red metallic markers, article 8323-232, for the time of year when every card, tag and place setting needs a touch of shimmering red.
Staedtler call this colour red metallic. On the barrel it reads as a deep rosy red with a sheen, which sits well beside gold and silver on Christmas cards, Valentine notes and Lunar New Year envelopes. It is the same 8323 fibre-tip marker as the gold and silver, so the colours can be mixed on one design.
According to Staedtler the ink covers opaquely on pale and dark papers alike, and on card, and the marker is ready the moment the cap comes off: no pumping or shaking required. The rounded tip leaves a line of about 1 to 2 mm, comfortable for names on gift tags or a hand-lettered greeting.
Staedtler suggest it for scrapbooking and greeting cards, and their Australian catalogue adds certificates and craft. Written on a window, it comes away again with a wet cloth, Staedtler say, so a seasonal red message is easy to clear.
