Lavender For Florals And Pastel Jewellery
FIMO soft 8020-62, lavender, is a soft pink leaning purple from Staedtler, packed as a 57 g block that bakes hard in the oven.
The colour suits spring and garden themes: lavender sprigs, violets, wisteria, butterflies and Easter eggs. In jewellery it gives a gentle pastel without needing to mix white into a stronger purple. Paired with mint or light pink it makes an easy pastel palette for beads and stud earrings.
Staedtler's colour board places lavender with light pink, lilac, plum, purple and raspberry. Lilac is the paler, cooler cousin; plum and purple are much deeper. Swirl a portion of lavender with white for a marbled effect, or with purple for depth.
Practical details: the block is scored into 8 portions, opens easily and closes again. It is oven-hardening at 110°C for 30 minutes.
