Staedtler 61 149C is the Design Journey mixed set that the box itself calls the Black and White Set: twelve super soft coloured pencils, four metallic markers and a metal sharpener, seventeen pieces in all.
The pencils are the 149C, which Staedtler build for bright colour on both white and black paper thanks to a super soft, high coverage lead. The twelve shades are white, yellow, peach, orange, red, magenta, red violet, blue, pale blue, willow green, light olive and burnt sienna. White is the key inclusion here; on black paper it becomes your highlight colour.
The four markers add gold, silver, blue metallic and green metallic, useful for moonlight, stars, frost and shine on top of the pencil work. Staedtler do not give a model number for the markers.
Staedtler state the pencils are made in Germany. The window box makes it a tidy gift for a teenager or adult getting into dark paper drawing.
