A Class Cup Of 48 Triangular Jumbo Fibre-Tip Pens
Staedtler 328-B KP48 is a cardboard cup containing 48 Noris jumbo fibre-tip pens in 12 assorted colours, sized for a classroom table rather than a single child.
What sets the 328-B apart is its triangular barrel. Staedtler class the three-sided form as ergonomic, aimed at relaxed, easy drawing and writing, and the barrel has three flat faces rather than a round body. The line is broad, approximately 3.0 mm, so it suits colouring, big letters and number work on large paper.
The cup stands open on a shared table with the pens grouped by colour, so children can take what they need and return it. Forty-eight pens across twelve colours means several of each for a group. Clothing marks, Staedtler note, wash easily out of most textiles; caps are ventilated.
Staedtler's current cup is kraft with flower artwork; the earlier cup with an underwater print is the one pictured.
