A 24 Colour Watercolour Pencil Tin for Hobby Painters
Staedtler 146 10C M24 holds 24 watercolour pencils in a metal tin, giving a broader palette for illustration, nature studies and painted journals.
On top of the 12 colour basics this tin adds white, light yellow, golden ochre, magenta, pink, cobalt blue, cyan, sea green, light olive, violet, burnt sienna and light grey. Those extra lights and earth tones make it easier to paint skies, foliage and soft shadows straight from the pencil.
Staedtler describe a soft watercolour lead that gives amazing bright effects with water and a paintbrush on watercolour paper, and bright colours in dry techniques. The pencil is their high-quality hexagonal 146 10C, with the barrel finished in the lead colour.
Staedtler's own photos show the tin open on a desk with the pencils hatched onto paper, a good picture of how this set gets used.
