Orange Highlighting Without Wet Ink
Staedtler 128 64-4 is the Textsurfer dry highlighter pencil in neon orange, packed 12 to a box.
A dry highlighter suits pages that a liquid marker would ruin. According to Staedtler the wax will not come through on the back of very thin sheets, with law texts, newspapers and bible pages given as examples. Their pictogram also lists paper, fax and carbon copy use.
Its neon wax lead is lightfast according to Staedtler, and it is marked INKJET SAFE: it does not smudge inkjet printouts. Orange gives a strong second colour next to yellow for students and reviewers who colour-code definitions, dates or actions.
Each pencil is wood-cased in a jumbo triangular shape, which Staedtler call ergonomic, with a lead of about 4 mm. It does need sharpening, and the two sharpeners Staedtler name for it are the Noris 512 128 and the metal 510 20, both double-hole models.
