Orange Noris Maxi Learner Pencils, Twelve in the Pack
Staedtler 126 12-4 is twelve orange Noris maxi learner coloured pencils, colour 4, for the warm middle of a child's palette.
Orange is a subject colour more than a background one. It turns up as the fruit itself, pumpkins, carrots, goldfish, a tiger's stripes, autumn leaves, a sunset and the flames under a cartoon rocket. Laid lightly over yellow it gives a golden tone, and pressed over red it brightens it, so it is a good pencil for first experiments in mixing on paper.
The first photo is Staedtler's own high resolution image of this pencil, with the barrel printed MADE IN GERMANY, STAEDTLER Noris maxi, 126 12 and a CE mark. Older stock is printed Noris Club maxi; the colour and article number are the same.
Staedtler Australia sell the colour in twelves under the catalogue name Noris maxi learner. No lead measurement or age guidance is published for the 126, so we have not invented any.
