Maxi Learner Pencils for Early Writers
Staedtler 116 12-2B is a box of 12 Noris maxi learner graphite pencils in 2B, a thick 12 sided pencil for children starting to write.
Staedtler describe it as a jumbo sized 12 sided pencil intended especially for small children, and say the super-bonded lead makes it break-resistant. The box in our photos shows a maxi icon giving the lead as about 3.0 mm, and both box and pencil are printed MADE IN GERMANY.
The barrel is dark grey and printed Noris Club maxi 116 12 2B. Twelve sides make it almost round but stop it rolling away, and the extra width gives small fingers more to hold than a standard pencil.
With a soft 2B lead, loops, letter patterns and first words come out dark and easy to read. Schools wanting a bulk supply can order the cup of 70 (116 12KP70).
