Room To Draw It, Then Write About It, In Year 1
Protext NB5079 is an A4 botany book of 48 pages combining plain paper with QLD Year 1 ruling, sold here in packs of 20 with a wombat as its teacher's reference.
Year 1 children usually draw first and write second. A botany book gives them both on the one opening: The Note Group's diagram shows a plain page for the picture beside a ruled page for the words, and the ruled side keeps a red margin. The ruling is printed as QLD Ruling Year 1, and the diagram marks 24mm between the pink lines, with two solid blue lines and a dashed blue line inside that space.
The paper is 70gsm and the cover is polypropylene, supplied in mixed colours through each pack. A drawing of a wombat on the front is the teacher's reference, so the book can be named on a booklist or in class by its animal. According to the cover, the inside includes an activity page and a calendar spanning 4 years, while the outside back is printed with sums tables for addition and multiplication plus units of measure.
