The Olympic Magic Storybook is an A4 stapled book of 48 pages, each with the top third left blank for a picture and the bottom two thirds ruled at 12mm.
Young writers often plan a story by drawing it first. This layout keeps the picture and the words on the same page: illustrate the moment at the top, then write about it underneath. Hamelin Brands, owner of Olympic, list it for storytelling and creative writing, and their page drawing shows the same split on both pages of an open spread.
The 12mm line spacing gives room for larger handwriting than a standard exercise book, which suits the early and middle primary years. The purple cover with its gold and red spellbook picture is printed REF. ST124, a handy reference when matching a school booklist.
