Isometric grid that takes the measuring out of 3D drawing
Zart Isometric Grid Paper Pad A3, supplier code PD306, holds 50 sheets of 70gsm paper glued along one edge, with blue isometric grid lines for technical drawing and freehand sketching.
The Creative School Supply Company lists this pad for students and artists working on freehand sketches and technical drawings, and names Visual Communication, Design and Graphics students in particular. It describes the isometric grid as a structured guide for accurate and consistent drawings, cutting down manual measuring with a ruler and set square. The supplier states that the blue grid lines will not photocopy.
With the grid already in place, students can put their effort into designing and exploring three dimensional forms rather than setting out angles. Because the blue lines do not photocopy, a finished drawing copies cleanly. The A3 sheets tear from a pad glued along one edge.
Zart also lists a 1mm graph paper pad in A3, and steel rulers, fineliners and graphite pencils suit the same work. Browse drawing supplies, art pads, art paper and canvas and Zart.
