Derwent Lightfast pencils are formulated to be 100% lightfast, with an oil-based core that resists prolonged colour change for up to 100 years under museum conditions. All colours comply with ASTM D6901 and Blue Wool Scale ISO 105, meeting internationally recognised standards for professional-grade artwork.
The buttery, velvety texture of the oil-based core allows colours to mix and blend directly on the page, creating a paint-like effect. A strong point supports detailed drawing and precise layering techniques, making these pencils a reliable choice for professional and leisure artists alike.
