A sun print kit with an acetate cover sheet
Zart Sunprint Kit 20 x 30cm 15's, supplier code PA907, is a kit from The Creative School Supply Company for making photographic type prints with blue sun sensitive paper, sunlight and water.
The supplier says to create white images on the blue sun sensitive paper using leaves, flowers, coins and other objects. Leave it in the sun for 3 to 7 minutes, then soak it in tap water for 2 minutes to reveal the print. A thick acetate sheet is included to lay over the paper to stop it moving. The listed size is 20cm x 30cm.
The acetate sheet holds the paper still, as the supplier describes, so objects stay where they were placed during the exposure. The supplier describes the kit as a way to link art with science through photographic type printing, using only sunlight and tap water to reveal the image.
Zart sun sensitive paper refills of 15 sheets are listed separately, and pre-cut mounts suit displaying the finished prints on a wall or board. Browse art paper, mounting boards, Zart and educational craft supplies.
