Mounting Boards
The job is keeping artwork or a printed panel flat, which paper alone will not do once it is handled or pinned. Thickness sets whether the finished piece can stand on an easel or must be laid down. Surface colour shows around the edge of a mounted print, so it is part of the design rather than an afterthought. Cut with a fresh blade in one pass. See foam board, display boards and cardboard.
