Jet black paper clay that air dries light
Magiclay Paper 240g Black, supplier code ML265, is a lightweight, soft and elastic modelling clay compound in jet black that air dries in hours.
Magiclay describes this as its air drying clay in an all black pack, a rich jet black that accentuates details on a project without the need to paint. The supplier says the clay air dries in hours and, once dry, creates a paper-like texture and is extremely light. Unused portions should be wrapped in plastic wrap or kept in an airtight container.
Starting with black clay means dark details and outlines come straight from the clay, with no painting step. Magiclay notes a shelf life of 12 months for its air drying clay, so storing opened clay wrapped or airtight, as advised, helps it stay workable.
Wrap any opened clay straight away so it stays soft for the next session. Add other colours from craft modelling clay, find tools in craft ceramics, combine with paper mache supplies, and browse educational craft supplies.
