No Fire Clay (Sunclay) in a 10L bucket, supplier code ML710, made by Northcote Pottery, is a soft, pliable modelling clay that air dries without firing.
Northcote Pottery describes No Fire Clay as a soft and pliable modelling clay which air dries. It is non toxic, made from natural materials, and is worked like a natural clay with water and tools. The supplier says to keep it moist while working, and to join pieces by scoring, applying slip, pressing and smoothing the edges. Drying takes approximately one week to ten days at room temperature.
Northcote Pottery calls it ideal for schools without a kiln. Once dry, the supplier says it can be painted with Chromacryl or Vipond. The airtight bucket keeps unused clay, and the supplier advises storing used clay in a separate airtight container rather than back with the unused clay.
