Fold-down drying shelves that mount on the wall
The Zart Wall-Mount Drying Rack Spring-Loaded 20 Shelf, supplier code DPZ124, is a wall mountable drying rack whose spring-loaded wire shelves fold down when not in use.
The Creative School Supply Company lists 20 spring loaded wire racked shelves, each measuring 44.5 x 27cm, and says the rack suits both A4 and A3 sized artworks. The supplier describes the metal frame as sturdy, strong and robust, designed specifically for the classroom, and pitches the rack as a storage solution where space is limited.
When drying is needed, the shelves fold out and artwork slides in to store or dry. Afterwards they fold back down, so the rack takes up little room off the floor. Mounting it on a wall keeps floor space clear in a busy art room or classroom.
Choose a clear stretch of wall near the wet area so students can reach the shelves when they fold out. Compare other art drying racks, art room furniture and classroom organisation, or the Zart range.
