A Flat Slotted Masher for Pots That Need Gentle Tools
The Connoisseur 754215 potato masher is a black, one-piece kitchen tool at 225 mm long, with a flared slotted head for pressing cooked potato, pumpkin or beans straight in the pot.
Weatherdon file it with their black non-stick utensils, the group they make to sit alongside coated cookware. Instead of a wire grid, the head is a broad flat paddle cut with slots, so it presses down evenly and can also scrape the bottom of a saucepan as the mash comes together.
At 225 mm it is short enough to work in an everyday saucepan without the handle catching on the rim, and the hole at the end of the handle lets it hang on a rail between services. For a staff kitchen or a small cafe line it covers the job a stand-alone ricer would otherwise do.
