This pack holds twelve Connoisseur 753023 tongs, each 230 mm long with a stainless steel spring frame and black nylon heads, so a kitchen or buffet can put a pair at every station.
The nylon heads are the point of difference from all-steel tongs. Weatherdon describe them as non-stick heads, and their scalloped grip, shown close up in the Weatherdon photos, holds sausages, vegetables or pastries without scraping the surface they are lifted from.
A sliding ring at the hinge end locks the tongs closed for storage, and the 230 mm length keeps hands back from the heat of a pan or grill while still being easy to control.
Twelve pairs suit canteens, school and hostel kitchens, barbecues at events and caterers who send tongs out with each tray. Weatherdon publish no heat rating for the nylon heads.
