The Brother PT-E920BT is a compact battery powered label maker for electricians and data installers, printing TZe and FLe labels up to 36mm wide from a phone over Bluetooth or a computer over USB-C.
It has no keyboard or screen. Labels are designed in the Brother Pro Label Tool app or in P-touch Editor 6 on a PC. The app has layouts for cable wrap, cable flag, patch panel, punch block and faceplate labels, with symbols, QR codes and barcodes. Print speed is 20 mm/sec at 360 dpi with a maximum print height of 32 mm, and the automatic cutter does full and half cuts so a batch stays on one strip.
Tape widths run from 3.5mm to 36mm, and Brother says the 36mm tapes suit AS/NZS 3000 compliant safety signage and switchboard callouts. TZe Pro tapes are laminated with six layers for water, abrasion and chemical resistance. At 1.17 kg with tape and battery, it carries from van to switchboard in one hand.
