A Scanner That Runs Off A USB-C Power Bank
The Brother ADS-1800W is a compact portable document scanner rated at 30 pages a minute, scanning both sides of a page in a single pass, and it runs on USB-C power so it works away from a desk.
The 20 sheet feeder takes documents from 51mm wide, and single sheets can run to 5 metres, and a dedicated front slot handles plastic cards including embossed ones. Scanning is 600 by 600 dpi optical. It connects by USB-C and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi Direct, and there is no Ethernet port on this model. Brother rates it at up to 1,000 sheets a day.
Power is the real difference: it draws over USB-C, so a laptop or a power bank runs it and there is no adapter to carry. Brother rates it at 10,000 sheets a month, which sets it apart from the desktop models in this range rather than competing with them.
Its PUR-2001C pickup roller and the CS-A3301 carrier sheet that lets it take oversized originals are stocked here, along with the rest of our printer and scanner range and the wider office technology.
