Printer Ribbons
Ribbons survive where thermal does not, which is why impact printers persist for multi-part forms and long-life records. Fabric ribbons re-ink as they run and fade gradually; carbon film gives a crisp dark character once and is used up. Match the ribbon to the machine model rather than the family.
