Padlocks

Measure the gap the shackle has to clear before anything else, since a lock that will not close is useless however good it is. Then decide where it lives: brass and weather-rated bodies survive outdoors, plain steel corrodes and eventually seizes. For a site with several locks, keyed-alike sets save carrying a bunch, at the cost of one key opening everything. See lockers, key cabinets and key tags.
