Measure the board before anything else, because a cover that is even slightly generous rucks up under the soleplate and presses creases into what you have just flattened. Padding underneath decides how crisp the finish is, and a thin worn pad transfers the mesh pattern of the board. Reflective coatings bounce heat back through the fabric and speed the job.
