Avery Lateral Filing Top Tab Labels
Orientation follows the cabinet. In a drawer you look down at the file set, so the label belongs on the top edge where it is visible above the folder in front. On open lateral shelving the same label disappears entirely. Establish which cabinet the run lives in before ordering, since converting a filing system later means relabelling all of it.
