A Written Request From The Bar To The Cellar
The Zions BREQ is a bar requisition book, a printed form each bar uses to ask the cellarman for stock and to record what was sent up.
In a hotel with several bars, stock moves out of the cellar all day. A written requisition shows who asked for what and when, which helps when the counts at stocktake do not add up. The form is addressed to the cellarman, with lines for the hotel name and date.
Tick boxes name the public bar, saloon bar, lounge bar and bottle shop, and a blank line covers any other bar. The body of the form has columns for item description, size and quantity, plus an entered column for a tick once the request is filled. Signature boxes at the foot are marked for the cellar and the bar.
