A Lobby Bin With an Ash Grate on Top
Compass 761250 puts a 10 litre litter bin and a grated ashtray into one brushed stainless steel column, for building entries and outdoor smoking points.
Weatherdon list it in 201 grade stainless steel with a brushed finish, 250 mm across and 610 mm tall. Butts are stubbed out on the perforated grate at the top; wrappers and cups go through the front opening into a galvanised inner liner. That liner has its own handle, so a cleaner lifts it straight out to empty, and a rubber rim on the base protects both the floor and the bottom edge of the bin.
Most doorways end up with two pieces of furniture, an ashtray stand and a rubbish bin. This column does both jobs in a footprint about the size of a dinner plate, so it can sit against a wall or beside an entry without narrowing the path. The brushed finish hides smudges better than a mirror polish.
