A sprung mattress rollaway that stores on its end
The Compass 683122 upright bed carries a 20 cm quilted spring coil mattress, 182 x 100 cm, on a black powder coated steel frame with a dark woodgrain headboard and a 200 kg load limit.
Weatherdon list this bed as the Compass Class Bed. It is the most bed like of the Compass rollaways: a sprung mattress rather than foam, a 15mm metal slat base, and fire resistant fabric as Weatherdon state. A strap holds the mattress in place so the whole bed stands upright on its end for storage.
Weatherdon's information sheet says one person can put it away easily. It rolls on 7 cm PU wheels, which Weatherdon describe as suitable for wooden floors. The frame is 197 L x 107 W cm, the bed weighs 48 kg, and it ships in a carton of 203 L x 112 W x 38 H cm. The headboard fits into the frame during set up, shown in the instruction sheet on this page, and Weatherdon offer a replacement mattress on request.
A matching black dust cover is sold separately. See Rollaway Beds, Housekeeping Equipment and Compass.
