The lighter fold up bed for quick room changes
Compass 683100 is the standard Compass fold up bed: a black powder coat steel frame carrying a 10 cm foam mattress of 190 x 90 cm, a 200 kg load limit and wheels for moving it between rooms.
Weatherdon list it as the Compass Comfort Fold-Up Bed and describe it as lightweight for easy manoeuvring, which is the point of this model. It has no headboard, so it folds to a slim 93 L x 34 W x 109 H cm and slides into a cupboard or behind a door. It weighs 26.48 kg.
Bars at the head and the foot hold the mattress when the bed is folded, side lock hinges keep it flat when open, and two of the wheels lock. The quilted mattress cover zips off for washing. Weatherdon now list a 15mm metal slat base for extra support; some photos show the earlier wire grid base.
The deluxe model adds a headboard and a thicker mattress. Compare them in Rollaway Beds, with more in Housekeeping Equipment and Compass.
