Connoisseur 5200527 is the 270 mm A-La-Carte coupe plate with rolled edges, sold as a pack of 6, and the size to choose when the main course needs the whole plate.
At 270 mm it is the biggest of the three rimless A-La-Carte coupes. With no flat rim taking up space, nearly all of that diameter is usable, so a steak with sides, a generous pasta or a share platter for two sits comfortably without crowding. Weatherdon point out the rolled edges on this code, a thickened lip that gives the hand something to grip when staff carry several plates.
The porcelain is reinforced and thermal shock resistant according to Weatherdon, and they list the plate as microwaveable and dishwasher safe. Restaurants that already use the 230 mm coupe for entrees can step up to this one for mains and keep the same look across courses.
