0.1 mm Black Pigment Liner For The Finest Detail
Staedtler 308 01-9 is a box of 10 black pigment liners with a 0.1 mm line, the width for hairlines, hatching and small lettering.
At 0.1 mm the pen draws the delicate end of the job: cross-hatching and stippled shading in ink drawings, eyelashes and texture in comic panels, dimension lines and leaders on technical sketches, and tiny annotations on maps and plans. Templates are fine from this 0.1 mm width up, per Staedtler, so stencils and lettering guides work with the long metal tip, while rulers are recommended from 0.2 mm.
The black pigment ink is indelible, lightfast and waterproof on paper, according to Staedtler, and their catalogue lists it as acid free. It will not bleed when a highlighter passes over it. A black liner can be left without its cap for at least 12 hours before the tip dries, by Staedtler's CAP OFF rating, which helps during long inking sessions.
The PP barrel is built to last and airplane-safe, and Staedtler state the 308 is made in Germany. It arrives in Staedtler's Artist Series box of 10.
