Staedtler 314 WP6 is a stand-up wallet of six Lumocolor permanent broad pens in orange, red, blue, green, brown and black.
The B tip writes a line of approx. 1.0 or 2.5 mm, depending on how you hold it. Use the narrow edge for labels and the wide face for headings, arrows and fill strokes, which makes the 314 the Lumocolor to reach for when a mark has to be read from a distance: shelf signs, carton ends, bin fronts and floor-plan colour zones.
In Staedtler's words this is a universal pen, usable on almost every surface including overhead film, and the permanent ink is smudge-proof and waterproof on almost all of them. It dries in seconds, so left-handers do not drag it, and the DRY SAFE ink survives days uncapped. Black is the colour Staedtler rate lightfast and weatherproof. The tip is locked against heavy pressure, and the pens are made in Germany per Staedtler.
Six colours give enough codes for most rosters, stock rotations and departments, with orange and brown on top of the four basics. The wallet opens out into a desk stand.
