Six Chunky Colours For A First Crayon Set
Staedtler Noris junior 224 C6 is the smallest set in the range: six chunky hexagonal wax crayons in bright colours, sized for a toddler starting to make marks.
Six colours keep choices simple for very young children. Staedtler list this set as yellow, red, blue, green, peach and van dyke brown, which covers sun, sky, grass, faces and tree trunks without a crowded box.
Staedtler call the 224 the ideal first wax crayon for colouring large areas. The chunky hexagonal body is about 14 mm across and the flat faces stop it rolling off the table. A paper wrap keeps fingers clean, and the crayons work with a range of painting techniques.
Staedtler state the 224 conforms to EN 71. The pack carries a 2+ age mark, and when a child is ready for more shades the same crayon comes in 12 and 18 colour sets.
