Twelve Bright Noris Junior Crayons For Busy Little Hands
Staedtler Noris junior 224 C12 brings the chunky hexagonal toddler crayon to a set of 12 colours, enough for whole pictures rather than first scribbles.
With 12 colours a child can tell the story in a picture: magenta flowers, pale blue sky, willow green leaves, an orange sun and a black outline. Working from dark to light, Staedtler list black, van dyke brown, peach, green, willow green, pale blue, blue, violet, magenta, red, orange and yellow.
The 224 is short and thick, about 14 mm across the flats, and the hexagonal shape stops it rolling away. Staedtler pitch it as the ideal first wax crayon for covering large areas and say it suits many painting techniques. A paper wrap stays on the crayon to keep hands tidy.
According to Staedtler the 224 conforms to EN 71, and the box is marked 2+. Pair the set with a big pad of paper or colouring sheets at a childcare table.
